We recommend you to visit the following places

The Pantheon
The Pantheon
The Pantheon represents the grandeur of ancient architecture. It was built in honor of all the Roman Empire gods, so as not to offend any of them. However, from the 7th century AD onwards, the Pantheon was used as a Catholic Church temple. It became the burial place for Italian kings and some distinguished people of Italy: Raphael Santi, Arcangelo Corelli, Baldassare Peruzzi, Kings Vittorio Emanuele II and Umberto I, and Queen Margherita of Savoy.
The Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain
The Trevi Fountain is an architectural complex located on the backdrop of the Palazzo Poli. The central sculpture depicts the god of the ocean—Neptune—sitting on a shell pulled by seahorses. Standing 26 metres high and 50 metres wide, it is the most famous fountain in Rome and one of the most notable Baroque fountains in the world. Tourists throw one coin into the fountain for a return visit or three coins for getting married. Cinephiles can examine the iconic filming location with their own eyes.
The Colosseum
The Colosseum
Visit the Colosseum—the symbol of Rome. Have a sweeping view of tiered seating arrangement while imagining the roar of the crowd in anticipation of spectacular battles. The Colosseum is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is not only a symbol of Rome but also the embodiment of its dramatic history. Today, the building is justly listed as one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Touch the ancient walls and enjoy the native atmosphere of the Colosseum!
The Spanish Steps
The Spanish Steps
The most dazzling stairway in Rome is definitely a must-see. Relax, enjoy the atmosphere of the city, throw a coin into the Fontana della Barcaccia, and take in the views: the panorama of the city opens from the top step. It is the place where the heritage of the European civilization and the charm of the ancient city joined.
The Trastevere District
The Trastevere District
Trastevere is a popular tourist attraction of Rome. Its original spirit differs from other areas of the city: you will not find pompous buildings and complex architectural structures here. The area looks more like a small village with colorful houses, narrow streets, pedestrians, and scooters. You will be able to see how charming the city of Rome can be.
Castle of the Holy Angel
Castle of the Holy Angel
This historical and architectural monument is also known as The Mausoleum of Hadrian. The castle was built as a tomb for Roman emperors, and later it served as a fortress that protected the citizens of Rome from external enemies. Be sure to take memorable photos of this important tourist attraction!
Piazza Venezia
Piazza Venezia
It is a trademark of the city and a popular tourist spot located in the city center near Capitoline Hill. The square is named after the first castle, the architecture of which became transitional from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. 6 main streets of Rome pass through Piazza Venezia making it possible to find lots of new and interesting routes.
Piazza Navona
Piazza Navona
This is one of the most beautiful sights situated in the heart of the city. Nearby there are such sights as Castel Sant'Angelo and the Pantheon. Take a walk around the well-maintained Piazza Navona, admire the numerous churches, palaces, fountains, and sculptures. A visit to this marvelous attraction is a must for every tourist.
Janiculum
Janiculum
Janiculum offers its visitors truly amazing panoramas. The hill was founded in pagan times in honor of the god Janus whose sanctuary was established here. Local residents consider it an important landmark, although it is not included in the list of the famous Seven Hills of Rome. Visit the place and admire the picturesque nature and beauty of majestic Rome!
Saint Peter's Square
Saint Peter's Square
This is the only square of the Vatican. It owes its name to the patron Saint of Rome—the Holy Apostle Peter. Catholics gather here regularly to see the pope. Millions of tourists come here from all over the world to appreciate the beauty of one of the most beautiful squares in the world.

Tips and tricks

  • If you go for a walk along the beautiful streets of Rome, do not forget to wear comfortable shoes: the streets are covered by antique paving stones. We recommend wearing breathable sneakers or plimsolls. Be sure to bring a hat and sunglasses as it can be quite sunny here.
  • To avoid standing in line at the Colosseum, get a special tourist card. With 72 Hour Roma Pass, you can visit two museums for free without having to stand in queues, while with 48 Hour Roma Pass you can visit only one museum. All cardholders get a discount on visiting other cultural sites in the city.
  • The most delicious food is served in ordinary restaurants where the menu is written in Italian.
  • If you order a latte, you will get a glass of milk. To enjoy coffee, choose latte macchiato instead.
  • Smoking is allowed in designated areas, otherwise you will have to pay a fine.
  • Try Italian ice cream! Make sure it doesn’t have an unnaturally bright colour: true gelato has porous structure and a delicate shade.
