The route

The Colosseum
This place is considered the most recognizable sight in the city. You can learn about its history, marvel at the architectural structure, and briefly travel back in time to ancient Rome.
The Roman Forum
It's where all the main issues of political and social life of ancient Rome used to be solved. The ruins of columns and temples can tell you a lot about the former greatness of the Empire.
Palatine
Palatine is the main one of the seven legendary hills. You will learn about the ancient architecture and the way of life of the Romans. Explore the ruins of aristocratic palaces, temples, and baths!
Piazza Venezia
Feel free to enjoy such sights as the Vittoriano Monument, Palazzo D’Aste, and the Santa Maria di Loreto Church. Six main streets of the city pass through this square, opening new and interesting routes.
The Trevi Fountain
It is known for stunning Baroque architecture and elegant sculptures. Guests of the city can throw one coin into the fountain for a return visit or three coins for getting married.
The Spanish Steps
Immerse yourself in the special romantic atmosphere of Rome: admire the bright flowers, listen to the street musicians, and enjoy the view of both Piazza di Spagna and the Fontana della Barcaccia.
The Pantheon
The striking example of Roman monumental architecture is preserved to this day almost unchanged. For an additional fee, you can enter the building and see the world’s largest unreinforced concrete dome.
Piazza Navona
The tour will end at Piazza Navona, the very heart of Rome. Walking around the square, you’ll discover a huge collection of sights: majestic churches and palaces, intricate fountains, and elegant sculptures.

Tips and tricks

  • If you go for a walk along the beautiful streets of Rome, do not forget to wear comfortable shoes: the streets are covered by antique paving stones. We recommend wearing breathable sneakers or plimsolls. Be sure to bring a hat and sunglasses as it can be quite sunny here.
  • To avoid standing in line at the Colosseum, get a special tourist card. With 72 Hour Roma Pass, you can visit two museums for free without having to stand in queues, while with 48 Hour Roma Pass you can visit only one museum. All cardholders get a discount on visiting other cultural sites in the city.
  • The most delicious food is served in ordinary restaurants where the menu is written in Italian.
  • If you order a latte, you will get a glass of milk. To enjoy coffee, choose latte macchiato instead.
  • Smoking is allowed in designated areas, otherwise you will have to pay a fine.
  • Try Italian ice cream! Make sure it doesn’t have an unnaturally bright colour: true gelato has porous structure and a delicate shade.
